What is Cryogenically-preserved Amniotic Allograft?

The RejuvaEnhancement™ Procedure utilizes a cryogenically preserved amniotic-derived allograft that contains LIVE Pluripotent Stem Cells, Growth Factors & Stem Cell Activators which promote tissue regeneration and potentiate the effects of the PRP  Priapus Shot®.

cutlivestem2This amniotic allograft is cryogenically-preserved tissue derived from human placentas during planned C-sections from consenting, screened donors. This amniotic allograft provides an extracellular matrix (ECM) needed for the infiltration, attachment and proliferation of cells required for the repair and regeneration of tissue. This amniotic allograft also is a rich source of over 75 growth factors, cytokines, collagen, and stem cell activators which call the body’s own stem cells. In addition this cryogenically-preserved allograft contains LIVE pluripotent stem cells and fibroblasts which enhance and potentiate the regenerative potential of the Priapus Shot PRP promoting tissue regeneration.

The amniotic tissue is obtained through aseptic recovery technique during planned Caesarian section of full-term deliveries from healthy woman 18-35 years. The woman have been prescreened and tested according to the FDA and American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB) guidelines for infectious disease and have undergone extensive clinical risk assessment of their medical and social histories, and have undergone extensive blood and tissue tests for HIV, HTLV, CMV, Hepatitis A and B, Syphilis. Donor tissue is collected and minimally manipulated utilizing a proprietary process in accordance with the regulations of FDA 21 CFR Part 1271 and Section 361 of the Public Health Service Act.

This tissue allograft has a “100 year history” with no reported recipient rejections, since the amniotic tissue is immunoprivileged and does not express HLA type

The Power of Stem Cells

Stem cells have the remarkable potential to develop into many different cell types in the body during early life and growth. In addition, in many tissues they serve as a sort of internal repair system, dividing essentially without limit to replenish other cells as long as the person or animal is still alive. When a stem cell divides, each new cell has the potential either to remain a stem cell or become another type of cell with a more specialized function, such as a muscle cell, a red blood cell, or a brain cell.

What is Lyophilize Amniotic ECM ?

The RejuvaEnhancement™ Procedure can also use a lyophilized, human-placental derived extracellular matrix (ECM) that promotes bioactive healing and tissue regeneration, and reduces scar tissue formation.  The lyophilized amniotic tissue is derived from the chorionic membrane of the placenta and does not contain live cells.

This lyophilized chorionic-membrane derived tissue contains multiple essential growth factors including healing growth factor (EGF), transforming growth factor beta (TGF-b), fibroblast growth factor (FGF), and platelet derived growth factor (PDGF), extracellular matrix proteins, cytokines, and other specialty proteins present in placental tissue to enhance healing and regeneration. This amniotic tissue additive acts synergistically to enhance and potentiate the regenerative potential of PRP

 

 

Collection and Safety?

This amniotic tissue is obtained through the “Give the Gift of Healing” placenta donation program in which mothers who are delivering health babies by planned Caesarian section donate their placentas under strict control on quality from the time of tissue donation. The company developed and implemented a proprietary quality management system in compliance with both the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB). To ensure patient safety, donor screening and testing is performed for each donor mother. Donor screening includes a review of both the donor’s medical and social history to ensure that the donor has not engaged in behaviors that place her at an increased risk for the transmission of infectious disease, and to ensure that the donor has not shown signs or symptoms of illnesses. In addition, each donor is tested for the infectious diseases: HIV, HTLV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Syphilis, and CMV. All allografts are terminally sterilized to enhance safety related to microbiolgical and viral transmission.

Amniotic tissues have been shown to have little to no HLA-A, B or C antigens and are not immunoreactive with the recipient.  Over One Million allografts have been distributed without adverse reactions.
